What's Covered in a Property Policy?
Our Chieftain homeowners property policies include the following coverage, subject to certain limits:
- $2,000,000 Liability Protection - This pertains to your legal responsibility to others for your personal actions or ownership, use or occupancy of premises.
- "Guaranteed Replacement" - This means that in the event of a loss, we will pay the full cost of rebuilding your home, regardless of the coverage limit.
- "New for Old" replacement means that no matter how old the item reported lost, stolen or damaged, we replace it with a similar new item.
- Protection for sewer backup, mass evacuation and food in freezers.
- Unlimited coverage for computers, fine arts and silverware.
- Coverage for the property of students living away from home, while within the overall policy limit.
- Insured property is insured up to a maximum of 300% of the estimated replacement cost.

When you have a homeowners policy from Chieftain, your coverage is backed by an extra measure of security - our Repair Satisfaction Guarantee. It promises that in the event of a claim, we won't rest until you are satisfied with the quality of the repairs we arrange for your car.
