A fierce advocate for consumer interests, The Dominion is committed to making sure the insurance system works best for consumers. We work with industry associations and government regulatory bodies, to ensure that strong and consistent standards and policies prevail among the more than two hundred property and casualty companies operating across Canada. Under the leadership of President and CEO George Cooke, The Dominion is an outspoken leader on industry issues, extending our commitment to “doing the right thing” into the broader insurance community.

With political and economic environments varying significantly across the country, the industry’s ongoing challenge is to maintain focus and work with all stakeholders, business partners and governments to ensure that policyholders are served efficiently and appropriately. To that end, The Dominion encourages our staff to meaningfully participate with regional organizations. Officers of The Dominion are members of the Board of Directors of the Insurance Bureau of Canada, Facility Association, and the Property and Casualty Insurance Compensation Corporation.
